Chanteuse, parolière et actrice française, Jil Aigrot fut découverte par Ginou Richer, amie proche d’Édith Piaf et s’est vue proposer l’interprétation de la voix d’Édith Piaf dans « La Môme » en 2007 par le réalisateur du film Olivier Dahan. Elle a d’abord conquis la France, l’Europe puis les États-Unis avec cette voix singulière et puissante qui la caractérise. Poussée par le succès du film doublement récompensé, son aisance et sa voix ont émues un public varié dans de nombreuses salles prestigieuses internationales (Olympia, Royal Albert Hall, Cirque Royale, Burkaren Orchad…). En 2013, elle repart en tournée mondiale à l’occasion du 50e anniversaire de la disparition d’Édith Piaf. Le spectacle, intitulé sobrement « Édith » a eu un franc succès à l’international.

Artiste accomplie, Jil Aigrot ne se cantonne pas qu’au répertoire de Piaf, en effet, avec un répertoire allant de l’opéra à la variété française, elle a joué de nombreuses fois à guichets fermés et continue de surprendre avec son talent.

Singer, actress and songwriter, Jil Aigrot was discovered by Ginou Richer, one of the closest friends of Édith Piaf. Olivier Dahan, director of the movie « La Vie en Rose » (« La Môme » in French) chose her to embody the voice of Piaf in 2007. Jil Aigrot first conquered France, Europe and then the United States with her singular and powerful voice that characterizes her. Propelled by the success of the double award-winning movie, her ease and her voice have moved a diverse audience in many prestigious international venues (Olympia, Royal Albert Hall, Cirque Royal, Burkaren Orchad…).

In 2013, she started another international tour commemorating the 50th anniversary of Piaf. The show « Édith » was tremendously successful all over the world.

On stage, Jil sings the most successful songs of Piaf and invites the spectators to sing along. No, I don’t regret anything, La Foule, L’Hymne à l’Amour and La Vie en Rose are the songs that the public knows almost by heart. Though her talent enables her to reproduce to perfection Piaf’s voice, it also allows her to improvise from Piaf’s repertory. Her voice and talent have made her an accomplished artist with a repertoire ranging from opera to French variety.

Over the years, Jil Aigrot has often played for packed houses and keeps on surprising the audience with her incredible talent.
