The Guinean artists have always known how to communicate their Traditional Culture abroad. The most renowned artistic group Les Ballets Africains de Guinée is a coveted Cultural Institution of Guinea. Paradoxically formed in Paris in 1948 by choreographer and poet Keita Fodeba, singer Albert Mouanqué ( Camaroun origine) and guitarist Kanté Facelli, Zairians, Senegalese under the name of Keita Fobéba and later giving way to the name of “Ensemble Fodeba/Facelli/Mouanqué.
Keit Fodeba created a modern Mandingo music. He was the first to integrate the traditional mandingo instruments such as the kora , ugoni et belafon to the guitar.

Les troupes artistiques guinéennes ont toujours eu l’art de promouvoir leurs traditions à l’étranger. La plus célèbre de ces troupes, Les Ballets Africains de Guinée – dont la création fut l’idée de Fodeba en 1947 – fut paradoxalement formée à Paris en 1948, sous la houlette du chorégraphe et poète Kéita Fodéba, du chanteur d’origine camerounaise Albert Mouangué et du guitariste Kanté Facelli, sous le nom de Théâtre africain de Kéita Fodéba, puis d’Ensembe Fodéba/Facelli/Mouangué. Véritable pionnier, Kanté Facelli a largement contribué à imposer l’usage de la guitare en Guinée. Il est l’instigateur d’une modernité musicale de la musique Mandingue.
Il fait partie des premiers à adapter les techniques des instruments traditionnels mandingues, kora, ngoni et balafon, à la guitare.
