Né dans la capitale du Cameroun, Patrick Noah débute le chant à l’âge de 11 ans dans la chorale de son quartier. La musique traditionnelle et les rappels aux ancêtres sont fréquents dans les textes de Patrick Noah. Mêlant sonorités ethniques et modernes, il donne à cette synthèse de musiques de racines africaines l’appellation d’AfroMusicS; un genre consistant en la fusion d’afro-cubain, latin jazz, afro-caribéen, merengue, salsa, makossa… Pour Patrick Noah, cela constitue “un objectif surtout philosophique, visant à donner à la musique africaine la dimension universelle qu’elle mérite en allant puiser à la source dans le but de faire profiter le public du magnifique héritage légué par nos ancêtres.”.

Passionné par la musique cubaine, Patrick Noah a beaucoup travaillé dans ses projets artistiques et ses albums avec des musiciens du Septeto Araison ou de Manolito Simonet, ainsi qu’avec les groupes Bamboleo, Orishas ou encore Los Papines. Chanteur, guitariste, auteur, compositeur, il joue une musique « tissage » qui est le résultat savoureux d’un mélange de rythmes afro cubains, Bikutsi du Cameroun, rumba du Congo, guaira, mérengué, rumba, latin jazz … Tous unis par une racine commune : l’Afrique.

Patrick Noah donne à ses performances une sonorité entrainante et un style unique. Ses performances scéniques véhiculent une énergie contagieuse qui invite inévitablement son public au mouvement et à la danse. Accompagné de ses musiciens cubains, il offre à chaque fois à son auditoire, des concerts de qualité, chaleureux et exaltants.

Avec plusieurs de ses albums distribués dans le monde entier (Europe, USA, Japon, Canada…), il diffuse ce qu’il appelle « l’AfromusicS ». Ce nouveau concept musical s’inspire de toutes les musiques issues du patrimoine musical africain : afro pur, jazz, afro-cubain, afro-brésilien, blues, afro-caribéen…

Défendant les valeurs de solidarité et de métissage, Patrick NOAH a reçu le « prix de la citoyenneté pour la pratique culturelle » de la part de Jean Louis Débré, actuel Président de la Cours Constitutionnelle en France et ex-Président de l’Assemblé Nationale Française.

Born in the capital of Cameroon, Patrick Noah began singing at the age of 11 in his neighborhood choir. Traditional music and reminders of ancestors are frequent in Patrick Noah’s texts. Mixing ethnic and modern sounds, he gives this synthesis of African roots music the name AfroMusicS; a genre consisting of the fusion of Afro-Cuban, Latin jazz, Afro-Caribbean, merengue, salsa, makossa… For Patrick Noah, this constitutes “an especially philosophical objective, aiming to give African music the universal dimension that it deserves by going to the source in order to make the public benefit from the magnificent heritage bequeathed by our ancestors.”.

Passionate about Cuban music, Patrick Noah has worked extensively on his artistic projects and albums with musicians from Septeto Araison and Manolito Simonet, as well as with the groups Bamboleo, Orishas and Los Papines. Singer, guitarist, author, composer, he plays “weaving” music which is the delicious result of a mixture of Afro-Cuban rhythms, Bikutsi from Cameroon, rumba from Congo, guaira, merengue, rumba, Latin jazz… All united by one common root: Africa.

Patrick Noah gives his performances a catchy sound and a unique style. His stage performances convey a contagious energy which inevitably invites his audience to movement and dance. Accompanied by his Cuban musicians, he each time offers his audience quality, warm and exhilarating concerts.

With several of his albums distributed throughout the world (Europe, USA, Japan, Canada, etc.), he broadcasts what he calls « AfromusicS ». This new musical concept is inspired by all music from African musical heritage: pure Afro, jazz, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, blues, Afro-Caribbean…

Defending the values of solidarity and cross-breeding, Patrick NOAH received the “citizenship prize for cultural practice” from Jean Louis Débré, current President of the Constitutional Court in France and former President of the French National Assembly .
